How It All Began: Chapter 15

 Ria opened her eyes, she saw a bedpost above her. At first she just blinked, confused, until she remembered that she was in Adrienne's room. Then she remembered that she was there because in all the rush, her mom had forgotten that she was only supposed to come to Adrienne's house for supper, and not for a slumber party. So she accidentally left her there. She lightly poked Adrienne, trying not to make her mad, but still trying to wake her up.
 "Wake up, sleepyhead!"
 "Shmfhhdrrrrr."
 "Come on, Addy! We have to get ready for school!"
 "MGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!"

Since she wasn't prepared to sleep over, she had to borrow Adrienne's clothes once again. She found a cute white blouse, and a black mini-skirt and decided to wear that. Adrienne decided to wear a simple black tank-top and shorts. They ran downstairs to some eggs that were sitting on the table. Blake had a bleary look in his eyes, the poor man looked miserable. "Eat quickly girls you'll be late for school" he mumbled sounding zoned out. The two girls exchanged glances and then both ate quickly and silently. Adrienne kissed her dad's cheek and Ria gave him a quick hug. The twin girls bid a hasty retreat and ran out into the cool morning air.
 "Wow, Dad seemed really zoned out huh Addy?"
 Adrienne nodded sadly "Meeting Lucy, I mean mom again really shook him up."
 "Hey guys." said a soft voice behind the two girls. Without even looking back both girls said with grins in their voices.

 "Hey Jinx!" Running towards the two girls, the cat boy managed to fall into step beside Adrienne. He had a band-aid on his cheek, and his arm was tightly wrapped in a bandage.
 "What happened to your arm and face?" Adrienne asked concerned.
 He looked down at his arm as if he hadn't noticed,"Oh. I just sprained my wrist, and it's just a scratch on my cheek..."
 She sighed, "And how did that happen?"
 He merely shrugged. "So what have you guys been up to?"
 Adrienne just felt like she could trust him, so she decided not to keep it a secret,"Well, we found out that we're twins." she said motioning to Ria.
 "Haha. Very funny."
 "No, it's not a joke."
 He stopped,"Are you serious?"
 "Completely."
 "Whoa." He couldn't believe it! Ria and Adrienne, twins? It wasn't possible!
 Ria smiled,"Yeah! It's pretty cool having a dad..." She still wasn't used to the feeling. What was worse, she didn't have a happy family. Her family was together, and yet it was completely separated! She couldn't even enjoy having a full family. She had been wanting to get her family back together, but she suddenly was determined to get her whole family together.
 "It's pretty cool to have a mom too," Adrienne admitted.
 Jinx smiled,"Well, I'm happy for you both."
 All of a sudden, Ria completely stopped walking and stood there just staring at the ground eyes wide.
 "Um, Ria?" Adrienne poked her,"Are you OK?"
 "I just had an idea."
 "What?"
 "On how to get our family back together."
 "What?! How?!"
 She grinned,"Lets approach the council."
